On this episode of PBC Jabs we preview our
stacked July 15th FOX show and we check in with former world champ Omar Figueroa Jr.
before he faces veteran warrior Robert Guerrero. What’s up, boxing fans? I’m your host Jordan Hardy and you’re
watching PBC Jabs! On Saturday July 15th, PBC brings you 4 hours
of boxing action starting with three exciting bouts live on FOX. Our co-main event of the evening features
unbeaten light heavyweight contender Marcus Browne taking on undefeated Long Island native
Seanie Monaghan in a 10-round bout. Plus, former title challenger Artur Szpilka
takes on undefeated Adam Kownacki in a battle of Polish heavyweights. In our main event, former world champions
Omar Figueroa and Robert Guerrero will face off in a 147-pound bout. Now both of these guys know that their backs
are against the wall. They have to win this fight to reclaim their
prominence in the ring. One of those fighters is joining us now. Omar, thanks for joining us on Jabs. OMAR: No problem. Thank you for having me. JORDAN: It’s been about a year and a half
since you’ve fought and the guy you’re facing is not an easy tune-up fight. Why Robert Guerrero? OMAR: I mean, why not? If my team believes that I’m ready for him
then I’m ready for him. JORDAN: Alright and instead of training in
your home state of Texas you’re working in California with Joel Diaz. What differences will we maybe see in the
ring with the change? OMAR: I really—well first off, I’m finally
able to train which, in Texas, it’s not that I was in Texas, it’s just the fact that I
had a lot of injuries, so I think, I mean I don’t know. I don’t even know what to expect from myself. It’s been a while since I’ve fought in this
condition and I’m just happy to be healthy going into the fight. JORDAN: We know you’re not looking past
this fight with Guerrero but who are some guys you have your eye on if you win July
15th? OMAR: I wouldn’t be able to answer that question. I’m not looking past Guerrero at all. I’m taking Guerrero as if he were in his prime. He had a long layoff too so I can only imagine
that he feels just as good as I do, so I’m expecting the best Guerrero in the ring. JORDAN: And lastly, do you feel like your
back is against the wall and that you have to win this fight to not be counted out? OMAR: Well, every fight is that kind of fight
and I feel like I have my back against the wall every fight and I always think of myself
as an underdog. It gives me that extra boost that I need to
get in there and fight, even hungrier than I already am. But like I said, at the same time, I’m sure
Guerrero feels the same way so he’s going in there with the same mentality so I gotta
anticipate all that, and I gotta be ready for that. JORDAN: Well Omar, thank you for your time
a best of luck on the 15th! The bell rings at 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific
live on FOX, and make sure you flip over to FS1 after the FOX broadcast as the action
continues with rangy prospect Jamal James and veteran Jo Jo Dan going toe-to-toe in
a 10-round welterweight bout. For ticket information and pre- and post-fight
details, visit PremierBoxingChampions.com. That’s all for this week’s PBC Jabs. Thank you for watching and I’ll see you
next time as we continue to bring you the best in boxing!

  1. man i wonder if she ever gos to the fights herself or is she going to the new mayweather fight. good video

  2. The reason your viewing numbers are low is because of your repetitive garbage ..Always the same Hispanic and black fighters ! Very little Eastern European or British fighters just Hispanic. You need to give these fighters more exposure !
